Victoria White

Hello, I'm Victoria, the teacher and owner at Believe to Succeed Tutoring. I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher, having taught all primary year groups from Reception to Year 6. I have worked in both mainstream and special schools and began tutoring in 2008.

MSc Psychology (included child development and learning, autism, Asperger's and ADHD). Distinction, 2017
PGCE Primary Teaching 2005

Experience

I began teaching in London in 2005 and subsequently moved out to work in schools around Stevenage, Letchworth, Hitchin and Welwyn. I have worked in special needs schools and also have personal experience with SEN, preparing me well to teach children with additional needs. Furthermore, I have taught adults English as an additional language.

Art is also a passion of mine and I love to create educational books as well as make my own resources, which I can adapt to individual requirements.

Tutoring Style

As a friendly, calm and patient person, children are always happy and relaxed in my lessons. I begin tutoring a student by undertaking an assessment of their abilities so that I can carefully plan a programme tailored to their needs. Lessons are then taught in an enjoyable and engaging way.

Individual or small group sessions are ideal for children struggling in a large class, where it's just not possible for the teacher to give the individual attention a child may need.

I have successfully increased the confidence of many children over the years I have been tutoring and developed their abilities in maths and English. As one parent said,
